Needless to say, it's already set my world sideways, and I'm sure it'll turn it all upside down and inside out plenty of times in the future, and I'm looking forward to every bit of it. The only down side, (well, other than the icky tummy and annoying tiredness that's plaguing my every waking hour) is no matter how hard I try, I can't get my brain to focus on my art. I sit and stare at my sculpture, and even sometimes pull it forward and pick it up, then my mind goes blank and I completely lose my train of thought. I tried working through it one day, and ended up breaking off half a foot. *facepalm* Ok, so maybe I'll have to wait a while longer. (At least the foot is easy to repair, I do love my wood putty.) The odd thing is, when I started this sculpture, I had the overwhelming feeling that I wouldn't have time to finish it, though at the time I had no idea why. Well...I'd say a baby is a pretty good reason. *giggles* I'm also trying to figure out why I just quit cold turkey on WoW a full 2 weeks before I even got preggers (well, I assume anyway). Fate is speaking loudly, and I'm loving it!
So now I run around randomly starting cleaning and organizing around the house, rarely finishing because my brain flits off to other things, or my tummy decides it really badly wants me to lay down or else. My sense of smell has sky rocketted, and I'm told it'll only get stronger. My logical brain is threatening to go on a 7 month vacation (I'm about 2 months along), and I keep finding myself wondering what my baby will be like, and obsessing on names, and all the fun mommy things that I never dreamed I'd hold any interest in at all.
This wasn't planned, but as most of us artists know...sometimes Happy Accidents are the best kind!
